Counter-proof of the Vampire debunk

I recently read the following article that claims to disprove the existence of vampires.

I’d like to propose the follower counter-proof to this “debunk”.

Let’s assume:
Vampires can only consume human blood.
Vampires only require brain functions to survive (rather than any other organs).
Vampires can choose whether or not to reproduce by killing their victims.

Now, let’s review the facts:
Since vampires only need their brains to function, and have no other organs to process any other nutrients from the blood, they can only use the glucose obtained feeding from humans.
Normal human glucose levels are 90mg/100ml.
The average male body contains about 5L of blood.
That means that an average human body would contain about 4.5 g of glucose.
The brain requires 120g per day to function.

That means vampires need to kill 27 people per day to survive.
That’s 9,855 people per year for each vampire that exists.
The average yearly population growth rate in the last 10 years was 38.3 Million people.
To keep population growth neutral (and not deplete their food source), there could be a maximum of 3,886 vampires in the world.
Since vampires can control their reproduction, they would easily be able to control their population.

Therefore, using population growth to disprove the existence of vampires is not a sound argument.
